Abstract

 This study addresses the satirical style in Arabic rhetoric in the story of Moses and Pharaoh. It presents an analytical examination of this rhetorical style, which is characterized by the richness of its meanings and the diversity of its uses, and shows how the Qur’an employed it to clarify truths, highlight situations, expose the weakness of opponents, and unveil the attitudes of disbelievers, the obstinate, and the arrogant through the use of satirical vocatives. The research is structured into an introduction, a preamble, and four sections: The first section analyzes the satirical vocative style in the story of Moses and Pharaoh; the second discusses the objectives and rhetorical purposes of this style; the third highlights its impact on the psychology of the recipient; and the fourth concludes with the main findings reached by the study.
