A System for Summarizing Texts in Arabic
Main Article Content
Abstract
This article proposes a method for producing summaries for Arabic texts. We have adapted to the Arabic language the automatic summary techniques which have proven their effectiveness for other languages and which give satisfactory results at the international level. Thanks to the compression techniques that we introduced, we were able to show, during an automatic summary evaluation competition, that the translations of the summaries produced by our system were better than summaries produced from translated texts.
