Knowledge Horizons Journal publishes original, peer-reviewed scientific articles with the aim of providing high-quality scholarly content to its readers by adhering to the principles of publication ethics and preventing unethical publishing practices.

The Journal's Code of Ethics is based on the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and serves as a guiding framework for authors, researchers, reviewers, consultants, editors, and publishers involved in the publication process. The journal seeks to establish unified standards of ethical conduct and ensures that all parties agree to comply with these ethical principles. Accordingly, the journal is fully committed to implementing these standards through the acceptance of responsibilities and the fulfillment of the duties assigned to each party.

Responsibilities of the Publisher

Publication Decision

The publisher must respect copyright and citation rights related to previously published scholarly works in order to preserve the intellectual property rights of others. The Editor-in-Chief is responsible for making publication decisions based on the journal's editorial policy and compliance with applicable legal requirements, particularly those concerning defamation, libel, copyright infringement, plagiarism, and intellectual property violations. The Editor-in-Chief may consult members of the editorial board or reviewers before making a final publication decision.

Integrity

The Editor-in-Chief shall ensure that every submitted manuscript is evaluated solely on its academic merit, regardless of the author's gender, ethnicity, religious beliefs, nationality, or political affiliation.

Confidentiality

Information concerning submitted manuscripts and their authors must be treated as strictly confidential and may only be accessed by individuals directly involved in the editorial and peer-review process, including the Editor-in-Chief, members of the editorial board, reviewers, and other authorized persons.

Explicit Consent

Unpublished research findings contained in submitted manuscripts may not be used or exploited without the author's explicit written permission.

Responsibilities of the Editorial Board

Peer Review

The Editorial Board of Knowledge Horizons Journal is committed to ensuring that the peer-review process is fair, impartial, and conducted in a timely manner. Every research article is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers. When necessary, the Editor-in-Chief may seek additional expert opinions.

Editors must select reviewers with appropriate expertise in the relevant field while ensuring adequate, inclusive, and diverse representation. The Editorial Board is also committed to following best practices in preventing the selection of fraudulent peer reviewers.

Editors must carefully examine all disclosures of potential conflicts of interest and any reviewer recommendations for self-citation in order to determine whether bias may have influenced the review process.
