Résumé

Cette étude se propose d’explorer l’effet de la connectivité graphique totale versus partielle des lettres dans les mots en arabe sur le traitement visuo-attentionnel parallèle/séquentiel dans la reconnaissance des mots chez des normo lecteurs, faibles lecteurs et dyslexiques (de 8.9 à 10 ans). Les tests administrés sont : la lecture de mots simples (où les lettres y sont totalement connectées entre elles) versus des mots complexes appariés en fréquence ; et un test de l’attention visuelle. Les résultats ont montré chez les dyslexiques une faible performance en lecture et en phonologie, mais comparables aux autres groupes dans l’attention visuelle. Ces résultats sont discutés dans le contexte de la conception visuoattentionnelle de la lecture/dyslexie et des caractéristiques orthographiques de l’arabe.
