L’objectif de cette étude est de connaître les opinions des apprenants et des enseignants concernant l’apprentissage de la langue arabe et leur impact sur l’opération de l’apprentissage.
Cette étude a englobé des étudiants non arabophones et leurs enseignants de l’Institut de la Langue arabe à l’Université Islamique Imam Mohamed Ben Saoud à Riyad. Nous avons adopté deux méthodes: la quantitative (sondage) et la qualitative (les entrevues). Elle a été précédée par deux autres études, l’une exploratoire et l’autre priliminaire pour vérifier la fiabilité des outils de recherche.
Cet échantillon comprend tous les 142 étudiants de l’année 2007, sans compter les enseignants dont le nombre a atteint 32. Quant aux entrevues, elles ont concerné 36 étudiants et 12 enseignants.
L’analyse du sondage a été effectuée en utilisant le programme (SPSS) et l’examen de (Man-Witney), et celle de l’analyse qualitative par le programme (NVivo). Cette étude a essayé de faire apparaître le degré d’influence que les divergences des opinions des étudiants et de leurs enseignants a eut sur l’opération d’apprentissage. Il en découle quelques recommandations pouvant être utiles aux enseignants de la langue arabe, à leurs étudiants et aux concepteurs du curriculum scolaire.
