Résumé

Des déficits de la mémoire à court terme verbale sont
observés très fréquemment dans les troubles développementaux
chez l'enfant, et ils ont un impact important sur les capacités
d'apprentissage de l'enfant. La mise en évidence et l'évaluation
de ces déficits est néanmoins une opération difficile car la
mémoire à court terme verbale dépend elle-même de l'accès aux
représentations du système langagier, qui peuvent également
être altérées dans certains troubles développementaux (dyslexie,
dysphasie). L'objectif de cet article est de présenter les évolutions
théoriques récentes concernant la MCTV, et de proposer, sur
base des modèles théoriques actuels, une démarche évaluative
ayant comme but de distinguer les déficits liés à des mécanismes
spécifiques de la MCTV de ceux causés par les déficits langagiers
sous-jacents.
