Mental faculties and their role in language acquisition: A cognitive approach.

Abstract

This paper explores the cognitive approach to language acquisition and reproduction, arguing that
humans possess innate brain systems that enable cognitive authority, including language, music,
and visual understanding. Universal Grammar (UG) represents this competence, which is a product
of social and cultural input. Mental grammar, including visual and auditory models, helps humans
understand, use, and interpret language.
